Y20 Secretariat meets G20 Sherpa to discuss the future roadmap.
The Y20 Secretariat on 14 March 2023 met with the G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant and extended an invitation for the first Pre-Summit of Y20 India scheduled to be held at Leh.
A discussion focused on the first Pre Summit that is scheduled to be held at Leh in April 2023.
The Y20 is the only officially recognized platform for young people to engage with the G-20 and is one of the most influential international diplomatic forums for young leaders. The Y20 encourages youth as future leaders to raise awareness on global issues, exchange ideas, argue, negotiate and reach a consensus. Y20 India is an attempt to create a connecting point between G20 governments and their local youth. The Summit aims to bring young leaders together to discuss and find solutions to the world’s most pressing issues.
During the discussion, Sherpa Amitabh Kant said “Y20 is interested with the responsibility to reach out to the youth across each section of the society and establish the engagement for an inclusive voice as stated by prime Minister Modi for sabka sath sabka vikas”.
