Yuva Deshbandhu organized YUKTI 1.0

YUVA Deshbandhu College

On April 29, 2024, the YUVA unit of Deshbandhu College celebrated its inaugural annual fest, ‘YUKTI 1.0’, with grandeur and enthusiasm, showcasing the vibrant spirit of youth and the rich tapestry of our cultural heritage. The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony, followed by a captivating Kathak performance that encapsulated the essence of our culture.

Mr. Rajesh (a social activist) and Mr. Kavindra Taliyan (Convenor, YUVA Delhi) were the esteemed chief guests at the inaugural session, accompanied by Prof. Rajendra Pandey (Principal, Deshbandhu College) and Dr. Ajay Pratap Singh Gehlot (Convenor, YUVA Deshbandhu College). They deliberated on the role and potential of Indian youth and discussed various skills that can empower youth in the Viksit Bharat Mission.

A panel discussion was conducted on the topic ‘Education and Skill Development’, featuring Mr. U. N. Khaware (Add. Commissioner, KVS, retired), Dr. Malkhan Singh (Assistant Professor, JNU), and Dr. Kamlesh Raghuwanshi (Assistant Professor, Ramanujan College) as the esteemed guests. Their insights illuminated the path for youth towards holistic growth and development.

The day featured a variety of competitions aimed at nurturing talent and creativity, including Talent Hunt (encompassing cultural & folk dance, ethnic wear, singing, and poetry), painting, rangoli making, photography, and a reel making competition. A felicitation ceremony honoured the winners of these competitions, recognizing their exceptional skills and creativity. Additionally, certificates were distributed to third-year students and other active members for their contributions towards YUVA.

The event also served as a reunion, with alumni and seniors gracing the occasion, adding nostalgia and wisdom to the event. A heartfelt tribute was paid to them, acknowledging their pivotal role in shaping the organization.

YUVA’s debut magazine Campus Chronicle is a first of its kind, and holds the uniqueness of being an entirely student-run monthly magazine.
